The route of the city tour

City Park (Városliget) with Heroes' Square (1), Vajdahunyad Castle (2), Zoo and Széchenyi Spa (3). We explore these sights on foot. Next we pass the Opera House (Operaház) (4), the Dohány Street Synagogue (5) and cross the Danube via the Elisabeth Bridge (Erzsébet híd) (6) to Buda. Then we drive up to the old town, to the castle district. Here we get off the vehicle and look at the Matthias Church and the Fisherman's Bastion (7) (Mátyástemplom, Halászbástya - entrance fees!). Then we descend to the Danube and we drive along the quay to Hotel Gellért (8), at the foot of Gellért Hill. Then we cross the Danube again, via the Freedom Bridge (Szabadság híd) and drive to Pest via the Little boulvard. Here we see the building of the Hungarian National Museum (Nemzeti Múzeum) (9). We continue our journey along Budapest's main street (Rákóczi út). We pass the Eastern Railway Station (Keleti Pályaudvar) (10) and the Puskás Stadium (Puskás Arena) (11). On the way to the starting point of our excursion (1) - where our 'sightseeing' ends - we will see the unusual, monumental building of the Ethnographic Museum (Néprajzi Múzeum) (12) too.
